The Story
From Port Macquarie to the Gold Coast
Tim's accounting journey began in Port Macquarie, at a mid-tier firm where he developed a deep understanding of Self-Managed Superannuation Funds — the strategies, the administration, and the compliance that keep them running.
In 2017, looking for further growth, Tim moved to the Gold Coast and broadened his expertise across all areas of taxation — individuals, businesses, and trusts — while continuing to specialise in SMSF work.
Today, based in Coomera, Tim runs Tim Cook Tax as a modern practice built around straightforward advice, transparent pricing, and lasting client relationships. Fixed fees where possible. Honest hourly rates where not. No surprise invoices. Just reliable work, done properly.
Tim believes staying current is non-negotiable — tax law changes constantly, and clients deserve an accountant who's keeping up. That means ongoing professional development, new technology, and a practical approach to every problem that walks in the door.
